Does the very idea of creating a float scare you? Do you feel nervous? Awestruck? There’s no need to feel intimidated by the project! Building a float can be fairly easy! Here are some tips on planning your float:
- Brainstorm for ideas on how to design the float, keeping with the theme of the parade. The 2011 parade theme for Old Timers’ Festival is New Beginnings.
- Note: If you go for something humorous, be sure it is family friendly. Also, keep in mind that blatant advertisements are not as enjoyable as being subtle and positive.
- Make sure you have a team of hard workers who also like to have fun to help with the float!
